Madikeri : Located a distance of 252 Kilomter from Bangalore and an
altitude of 1525 meter / 5000 feet from sea level, madikeri known as the
Scotland of India. Its former name was 'Marcera'. Madikeri is the district
head quarters of Coorg. Its placed on top of Sahyadri Mountains.
Madikeri Fort : Built in the nineteenth century. This monument has
a chapel, a temple, a prison and a museum. The Coorg traveler get a
breathtaking view of the Madikeri Town from Madikeri Fort.
Raja's Seat : The Kodagu Kings spent their evenings and best times
in this place, which is a garden in the town of Madekari. Sunset can be
visible from this place.
Nagarahole National Park : This national park has a wildlife
sanctuary, blessed with fauna of elephants, tigers, spotted deer,
leopards, bison, peacocks and other animals and wildlife. Lodging

Iruppu Falls : The Iruppu Falls is a Hindu temple and a place of
pilgrimage. The temple is dedicated by Lord Rama to Lord Shiva. Iruppu
water fall is a famous picnic spot.
Abbey Falls : Located middle of a valley in a coffee and cardamom
plantation, seven kilometer from Madikeri, the Abbery Falls. Water falls
from a height of 70 feet, , this is a famous waterfall and a must visited
picnic spot.
Talacauvery : Birthplace of river Cauvery and is located at a
distance of 44 kilometer from Madikeri. This is a major religious site.
Religious visitors can take a dip in its holy waters.
Omkareshwara Temple : A famous temple in Coorg, Built in 1820 AD by
Lingaraja. With its architecture, that blends Gothic and Islamic style,
this temple is believed to be dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Bhagamandala : The place River Cauvery merges with the rivers of
Kannike and Suiyothi and forms the “Triveni Sangama”. It is located on the
bank of Sangama River and built in the Kerala style architecture.
